We plan to offer this series again some time in Winter 2025. We encourage you to sign up for the waitlist now – we'll notify you when we have more details.
Dr. Allison Plyer, an expert in racial disparities and their historical antecedents, developed content for the series after decades of research on systemic inequity. The series is designed by Val Uccellani, an internationally-recognized expert in adult learning design, who focuses on the use of structured dialogue for deeper learning. Allison and Val were inspired to create this series by the racial reckoning of 2020, and the challenge from Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) that white people should take responsibility for teaching each other about systemic racism.
NOW, LOVE piloted this series with more than 100 women early in 2021. Participants were grateful for how the series expanded their perspectives and helped them transform their shared value of anti-racism into concrete action.
While this initiative is led by women, for women, all are encouraged to join – regardless of gender identity!
The 6-week series includes bi-weekly learning “nuggets,” each with tangible, concrete ideas on how to use your privilege to undo systemic racism.
You will also get…
Additional 6 weeks of reminder prompts
access to our Anti-Racism Action App that houses a curated set of inspiring resources; and
invitations to three 90-minutes live events, led by professional facilitators, to dig deeper into the topics explored in each nugget.
The series does not aim to teach about the roots of racism or how it pervades our lives. Rather, it challenges each of us to make concrete and meaningful changes in our everyday actions to undo the racist systems that surround us.
